Privacy statement – Information on the protection of your data

bc-technology GmbH, Vogelsangstr. 31, 72581 Dettingen/Erms is the operator of this website, and takes the protection of your personal data very seriously. Personal data as defined by the German Telemedia Act and German Data Protection Act is collected, processed and used confidentially and in keeping with this privacy statement at all times. This privacy statement covers all bc-technology websites, though these may in turn contain links to external websites which are not covered by the statement.

Below is some information on how and what data we collect, how we process this, and what rights you can exercise.

Collecting personal data

Every time you visit our website, your Internet browser will send our servers a log file. This is done automatically without any special actions by us. The log files are deleted later on. The information involved in this process is generally as follows: IP address of the requesting computer, date and time of your visit, name and URL of the files you visit, the website from which you accessed our website, your computer’s operating system, the browser you use, and the name of your Internet access provider. Your data is collected automatically in the form of a log file for the purposes of enabling you to use our website, connecting you to our website, permanently ensuring system security and stability, technically administrating the network infrastructure, and optimising our service. The access data is analysed for internal statistical purposes. Our visitors’ IP addresses are only analysed in the case of attacks on our website and for statistical purposes. This data is stored separately from data you enter yourself while using our website.

Registering on our website

If you register on our website, particularly if you complete the contact form or a request form, we will also collect personal data insofar as this is required for the respective purpose. We do this as a means of knowing who you are, initiating or establishing contractual relationships with you, using our services, making contact with you, and handling queries. By entering your details, you consent to us collecting this data and processing it for the designated purpose.

Transmission of personal data to third parties

We do not send the personal data of our website visitors to third parties. Our staff, agencies and dealers are bound to confidentiality. If ordered by relevant official institutions, we may, in specific cases, share information on this data, insofar as this is required for criminal prosecution, preventing risks, fulfilling the legal tasks of the constitutional protection authorities or Military Counterintelligence Service, or asserting intellectual property rights under national legal regulations.

Cookies

When visiting our website, a control file may be automatically saved on your computer’s hard drive. These cookies do not send any personal data to us. They simply make it easier for you to use our website, e.g. by not having to log in every time or by enabling quicker access to our connection data. Whether or not these log files are saved on your computer also depends on how you have configured your web browser. There are some web browsers which you, as a website visitor, can set in such a way that no cookies are stored on your computer, or that you are always asked beforehand if you want to permit new cookies.

Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service run by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files which are stored on your computer and which enable your website usage to be analysed. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including your IP address, though this is anonymised using the _anonymizeIp() method, so that it cannot be matched to a connection) is sent to a Google server in the USA, where it is stored.

Google will use this information to analyse your website usage, compile reports on the website activities for the web operators, and render additional services relating to website usage and Internet usage. It may also send this information to third parties if this is required by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google. Under no circumstances will Google connect your IP address with other Google data. You can prevent cookies from being installed by configuring the relevant settings in your browser software. Please note, however, that this may result in you being unable to use all of this website’s functions to their full extent. By using this website, you agree for the data collected about you to be processed by Google as described above and for the aforementioned purpose.

You may revoke your consent to data collection by Google Analytics by installing a deactivation add-on (http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de) for your browser.

Alternatively to the browser add-on or when using browsers on mobile devices, please click this link to prevent Google Analytics from recording your data on this website in future (the opt-out only works in this browser and for this domain). In doing so, an opt-out cookie will be stored on your device. If you delete your cookies in this browser, you will have to click this link again.

Security

We take suitable and feasible technical security measures to protect your data against accidental loss or deliberate manipulation.

You may revoke your consent to the further collection and processing of personal data at any time by contacting us as per the details below.
